Queensland Police and health authorities are investigating the findings of a strawberry sewing needle bought from an Australian retail franchise, Woolworths.

Queensland Health Office Chief Dr Jeannette Young advises anyone who buys strawberries since early last week in Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria to dispose of them.

Dr Jeannette Young said as many as three incidents had been reported to the police, including one in Queensland and two in Victoria. Dr Young said, the contaminated brand was called Berrylicious and Berry Obsession and came from a farm in southeast Queensland.

A Facebook user uploaded a warning a few days ago about a Berry Obsession brand strawberry plastic box. The fruit was purchased from Woolworths at the Strathpine Center north of Brisbane.

Joshua Gane said he was driving to the beach when his friend bit strawberries and swallowed "half a sewing needle".

Acting Head of Queensland Criminal Command Inspector, Terry Lawrence, said police believed contamination was intentional.

Authorities in three other states in Australia are now also investigating who was behind the incident.

How can both be united? while the needle does not grow from strawberries
